2021 Powering Communities Grant – Applications close 6th June 2021

The 2021 Powering Communities Program is now open for community groups in the Petrie Electorate to submit an Expression of Interest form to my office.

Grants of between $5,000 and $12,000 will be available to eligible community organisations, with no co-contribution required. The grant will help community groups across the Petrie electorate lower their energy bills by installing solar panels or a battery, upgrading air conditioners, hot water systems or a refrigerator with more efficient models, replacing lighting with LEDs or conducting an energy audit.

A Powering Communities Expression of Interest form is attached below. If you would like to apply please fill out and return to Luke.Howarth.MP@aph.gov.au by Sunday 6 June 2021 where organisations will be selected by a panel based on the information provided.

2021 Volunteer Grant – Applications now closed

The 2021 Volunteer Grants is now open for volunteer organisations in the Petrie Electorate to submit an Expression of Interest form to my office.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers to help community organisations by covering the purchase of small equipment or for the reimbursement of volunteer fuel, transport, training costs or promoting awareness and increasing participation in volunteering.

A Volunteer Grants Expression of Interest form is attached below. If you would like to apply please fill out and return to Luke.Howarth.MP@aph.gov.au by Wednesday 21 April 2021 where organisations will be selected by a panel to be put forward to the Department of Social Services based on the information provided.
