It’s time to be festive

A message from Luke

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I cannot believe it is that time of the year again.  December is a time where we gather with those we cherish and love to celebrate not only Christmas, but all that 2023 has been. Throughout this holiday period, I am hoping that you will take some time to relax and reflect on 2023, how this year was special, and how you can make 2024 even better! In the spirit of togetherness, let us cherish those most dear to us, appreciate the diversity that enriches us, and share the goodwill that defines us.

Thank you to the people of Petrie for your support. To be your representative, to serve and to partner with you is my great privilege.

Thank you to all volunteers who have offered their time and support over the year. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without your support, none of what I do is possible.

Thank you to my staff in the electorate office. They work tirelessly to ensure that all constituents in Petrie are supported and assisted with any matter that lands there way and keep the show on the road when I am representing Petrie in Parliament.

Let this holiday season be a source of inspiration, kindness, and renewal for all. May the magic of Christmas fill our hearts with gratitude and hope, and may the coming year bring prosperity, peace and countless moments of joy.

Sincerely from my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Parliament review

Cost of Living Pressures (click title for video)
Throughout the year, cost of living has been a national issue, but it seems the Albanese Labor Government are completely out of touch with the Australian people.

Inspiring the Next Generation (click title for video)
I was invited to educate the Year 7 cohort at Mueller College Rothwell, as part of their politics study. I encouraged them to be proud Australians, as they navigate through their schooling years.

Fighting for Fair Work within Australia (click title for video)
In Parliament recently I spoke on a passionate topic of mine, Fair Work in Australia. Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill speech.

Redcliffe Dolphins Inaugural Year (click title for video)

In Petrie we couldn’t be prouder of the Dolphins NRL team. The $8 million investment by the former Coalition Government helped them get into the NRL.

Christmas Competition

Congratulations to Alice in Year 3 from St Paul's School, who won my Christmas Card Colouring-In Competition. Alice's artwork will be displayed on my Christmas Cards to the electorate. Year 3 Green were rewarded with a Pizza Party to celebrate Alice!

Petrie Shield Awards

As we head into the closing of the year, I have attended numerous school awards ceremony's and it has been wonderful to recognise many students. Congratulations to the recipients of the Petrie Shield from all over the electorate.

Door Knocking in Petrie

Door knocking is the way I connect your backyard to Parliament. I am listening to what matters most to you! Every knock is a step a towards a stronger nation.

Small Business Visits

As a former small business owner, I understand the challenges and opportunities that owners face. Being able to visit so many small and family businesses around the electorate allows me to listen to what matters most to you.

INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

While you’re stuck in traffic, Labor has much needed infrastructure projects stuck in reviews, delays and cuts. This comes after the 90-day infrastructure review that took over 200 days to be released. Enough is enough!
Thank you to Shadow Minister for Infrastructure Senator McKenzie for your unwavering support to fight for what the people of Petrie deserve.
The current infrastructure projects within the electorate:
– Beams Road Overpass
– Linkfield Road Overpass
– Dohles Rocks Road On & Off Ramps
– Gateway Motorway Bracken Ridge to Pine Rivers
I will continue to keep you updated as more information rolls out. I will keep fighting for you because your time matters!
