Aspley Memorial Bowls Club – New Shade Cloth

The Aspley Memorial Bowls Club received funding for a suite of upgrades that was a breath of new life into the Brisbane club and will keep it going strong for years to come. One major upgrade was a new shade cloth.

The project was jointly funded with the former Federal Liberal and Nationals Government providing $590,000 and the Aspley Memorial Bowls Club raised $163,265.

The bowling green is now safer and more comfortable to use in rain, hail or shine, attracting new members to the club and letting existing members play in a comfortable, shaded environment and into the evening.
