Resumption of Land for the Bruce Highway upgrades
Do you believe the Department of Transport and Main Roads should reconsider the Moreton Connector to prevent the need to resume residential homes in Griffin, Murrumba Downs and Bracken Ridge?
The proposed âMoreton Connectorâ would link Dohles Rocks Road at Murrumba Downs to Anzac Avenue in Mango Hill. The project was part of a $2.1-billion package aimed at busting congestion and easing travel for North Brisbane and Moreton Bay commuters. Despite the corridor for this new arterial existing for 30 years the Department of Transport and Main Roads have scrapped this project and in turn proposed a widening of the Bruce Highway that would require land to be resumed by the Palaszczuk Government and residential houses bulldozed, some of which have not even been built.
