New Wrecks for Moreton Island

New Wrecks for Moreton Island

JOIN THE CAMPAIGN TO SAVE  THE WRECKS

In 2015, State authorities cut down the Tangalooma Wrecks just above the waterline, as part of works to stabilise the structures.

While this was done with people’s safety in mind,  there is no plan to restore the wrecks. This is to the detriment of recreation, tourism and jobs in our region.

It’s alarming to know the State Government is asleep on this issue when more than 10 per cent of people in the Moreton Bay Region are employed in tourism.
